List of Commands
================
CAB <location> This command is used to take a cab
from the West London Cab Company to
any other location in London. The
price of the ride depends on the
distance traveled. Cab rides are
four times faster than walking.
CASE This command will allow you to review
the case at hand. This is the case
information that was presented to you
at the beginning of the game.
FERRY This command will allow you to transport
from the Yorkshire Ferry to the West
Landing Pub. There is a 5 pound charge
for the crossing, which takes about 20
minutes in fair weather.
GOTO <location> This command is used to move from one
place to another in London. The mode
of travel is walking. Mr. Holmes does
have a tendancy to tire after walking
long distances and therefore it will
take longer to travel as the case
progresses.
DHELP This command will present this list of
commands to you. This does take time,
as Mr. Holmes is consulting his notes.
MAP This command will display a map of
Holmes London. The map will show you
where all locations are and the roads
that connect them. Again this command
takes time as Mr. Holmes examines the
map.
PAGE This command will page the system
operator in the event you need help.
PASS This command allows you to present an
inspection pass to any police officer
who is guarding a potencial clue site.
These passes were issued by Inspector
Gregson, who is a friend of yours, and
can be obtained (one per trip) at
Scotland Yard. You start the case with
2 passes.
QUIT This command is used to abort the case
at hand.
STATUS This command is used to find out how
you stand during the case. It will
tell the the current time and how much
money you still have.

221B Baker Street This is your home and
residence. Return here
when you think you have
solved the crime.
The Loire Art Gallery One of Londons most
popular galleries. Many
prominent people frequent
this location.
Hillery's Boutique Londons most exclusive
womens fashion store. All
of Londons prominent women
come here to shop.
Scotland Yard The central headquarters
for the English police.
Inspector Gregson, a friend
of yours, will usually give
you an inspection pass when
you stop by.
The Law Offices of Davidson & Sons A prominent law firm in
London. They are the Perry
Mason and company of 19th
century London.
Dartmouth Hotel This is Londons only four
star hotel. It is frequented
by everybody who is anybody
while visiting London.
The Bank of England THE bank to use while in
London. Sorry, but the
auto-teller is not working.
West London Mercantile Co. A large store were you can
buy or sell anything. It
is located on the West Side.
Seymore Park This 10 acres of green is
located in central London
near the Dartmouth Hotel.
It is a crossroads in that
part of the city, as it
connects the West Side with
the Financial District.
British Stock Exchange This fine old establishment
was moved from the old
downtown area to its new
location in the Financial
District in 1878. It is
the cornerstone of finance
and industry in England.
West London Cab Company London largest cab company.
Their modern carriages are
roomy and comfortable and
provide a quick means around
town. Due to the large
number of leased cabs however,
you usually need to go to
their location to get a cab.
West London Tribune The only newspaper on the
West Side. This paper
caters to the society page
and is usually full of
gossip.
West Landing Pub A beautiful location for
a night on the town. Dine
with a view of the Thames,
London Bridge, and the Tower
of London.
Yorkshire Ferry Old established ferry co.
in Londons East Side. For
5 pounds you can ride the
ferry to the West Landing
Pub.
Britanica Shipping Company Importers and exporters of
goods from around the world.
Located in the older section
of the East Side.
